Hi dolls. I'm back. It's been a whirlwind of a few weeks....or months. My trip to Cancun was fabulous. Many great times with my girls and met a lot of amazing people from Canada, USA and Wales!

Also, I recently got back from Banff from my best friends wedding. It was beautiful, elegant, loving and bittersweet. Of course I am so excited for the happy couple but I can't help but realize that one chapter is closing. Michelle will always be my best friend but as they move on....move to another Province, I can't help but be sad that I won't get to see her whenever I want. I cherish the memories I have with her and will cherish the future memories even more.  Pictures to follow soon once they come back from the photographer!

I hope to catch up with all of you really soon and see what you have all been up to. Thank you so so much for those of you that sent extremely sweet e-mails just checking in on me. You are so amazing and such sweet, beautiful friends.

miss slacker of 2011

It's been exactly one month since I've last posted. How sad is that? Needless to say, I've been pretty busy. So I can't complain too much. But here's what I've been up to:

• I worked at the Canadian Red Cross for a few weeks in a temporary position. 

• I am preparing for my BFF's Bachelorette Party which is coming up in 2 days. I'd give you the deets but she's one of my avid readers ;) 

• I am off to Cancun on Monday with my two bears. I feel like we just started our countdown from 50-something-days and now it's down to.....4 days? Insane.

Oh....and on April 21st I met the most amazing man a girl could ever meet. I have no idea where he came from - he literally came out of no where but I'm so blessed & thankful that I can call him mine now. It's been a month of pure bliss with him and I couldn't ask for anything more. I'm positive you'll be hearing a lot more about him!

I'll try to catch up with everyone as best I can before I leave on Monday...or if not. Definitely when I get back from Mexico.

yoga & make-a-wish

This weekend was a tad quieter than last but definitely still great.

On Saturday Lindsay and I went to the Volunteer Fair that one of our malls was hosting. We learned quite a bit and signed up to volunteer with a few Organizations. One being the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which serves for children with life-threatening medical conditions. I am SO excited to be a part of this & can't wait to be called for an event to make a difference in the little eyes and hearts of these beautiful children.

Yesterday's Daily Devotional really spoke to me because it was very fitting with my drive to becoming more involved in volunteer work. Proverbs 31 speaks about being a "Wife of Noble Character." God is truly speaking to my heart, especially this past weekend, and He is teaching me more & more about how to be a wonderful Woman of God.

Overnight Hospital stays: I was in the Stollery Children's Hospital for over a month when I was 11 with Ecoli and ruptured appendix so I have had my fair share of overnights. Although they made the experience as comfortable as possible.....I would prefer my own bed & to be healthy.

All the while I think I've been patient with life, especially lately. The truth is, I am just beginning to learn about patience & God is challenging me to this. I have a lot to learn but these photos are a true test & reminder to take time and smell the roses.

• It's March 17th & it's snowing outside. I think my city's weather is confused. It's St. Patrick's Day not Christmas
• I am still trying to figure Twitter out. It's a process.
• Going for lunch with one of my girlfriends yesterday & trying to dodge old co-workers. Extremely awkward.
• a snoring puppeh.
• Getting my passport pictures taken on Sunday. Do these photos EVER look good?? What is with hair tucked behind the ears etc. It's just not cute no matter what. Ew.
• Trying to find something green to wear. Apparently I own nothing of this colour.
• Blogger continuing to correct my spelling of 'colour.' Yes, we Canadians add a 'u' in there. It's what we do. Is there an option to change my language to English (Canada)?

• I have a wine date night with one of my girlfriends tonight. Playing catch up on her wedding details. It's coming so fast!
• I have a hair appointment later this afternoon. Love being pampered. The salon I go to is owned by an amazing guy and I am really good friends with his sister so It's pampering/bonding time and they feed me wine as well =)
• My friend from Calgary is coming to town for the weekend & I get to spend some time with her tomorrow!
• My friends and I are officially booking our May long weekend vegas trip this weekend. I have never been there and I wouldn't do my first time any other way than go with my girls!!
• I am attending a Fundraiser on Tuesday at a local(ish) restaraunt, Famoso Pizza (my good friend Lindsay works there). All proceeds go to The Red Cross for the Earthquake/Tsunami Relief. I am so excited to be a part of this. We need to do all we can to help the people of Japan!
• Puppeh is keeping my tootsie's warm. 
• My girl friends. I don't need to say more than that. My friends. They are awesome.

I think I have a bigger list of awesome. I am more than okay with that.
