post vacation.depression

Hi dolls. I'm back. It's been a whirlwind of a few weeks....or months. My trip to Cancun was fabulous. Many great times with my girls and met a lot of amazing people from Canada, USA and Wales!
 behs.
 Vancouver friends!
 Representin' Canada.
 me favorite.

 Gorgeous Sunset
 Best sushi ever at Katsu-ya.

Also, I recently got back from Banff from my best friends wedding. It was beautiful, elegant, loving and bittersweet. Of course I am so excited for the happy couple but I can't help but realize that one chapter is closing. Michelle will always be my best friend but as they move on....move to another Province, I can't help but be sad that I won't get to see her whenever I want. I cherish the memories I have with her and will cherish the future memories even more.  Pictures to follow soon once they come back from the photographer!

I hope to catch up with all of you really soon and see what you have all been up to. Thank you so so much for those of you that sent extremely sweet e-mails just checking in on me. You are so amazing and such sweet, beautiful friends.

miss slacker of 2011

It's been exactly one month since I've last posted. How sad is that? Needless to say, I've been pretty busy. So I can't complain too much. But here's what I've been up to:
  • I worked at the Canadian Red Cross for a few weeks in a temporary position.
  • I am preparing for my BFF's Bachelorette Party which is coming up in 2 days. I'd give you the deets but she's one of my avid readers ;)
  • I am off to Cancun on Monday with my two bears. I feel like we just started our countdown from 50-something-days and now it's down to.....4 days? Insane.
Oh....and on April 21st I met the most amazing man a girl could ever meet. I have no idea where he came from - he literally came out of no where but I'm so blessed & thankful that I can call him mine now. It's been a month of pure bliss with him and I couldn't ask for anything more. I'm positive you'll be hearing a lot more about him!

I'll try to catch up with everyone as best I can before I leave on Monday...or if not. Definitely when I get back from Mexico.

I missed you all! I hope you're having a beautiful Thursday dolls xo

brisk spring days

brisk spring days

Tilly's Double V Womens Top - $22CAD
Dahlia Leather Jacket - $510CAD
Kristin Leather Hobo by Coach - $285CAD
Mulberry Powder Beige Bootie - $445CAD
MOTO Baxter Jeans, Topshop - $77CAD
Elle Round Circle Women's Sunglasses, OC Sunglasses
Hunter 'Original Tall' Rain Boot - $120CAD
Yves Saint Laurent Arty Gold-Plated Glass Ring - $240CAD
Indulgems Green Onyx Marquise Earrings - $155CAD

As much as I'd love to say that our weather is 100% ready for spring dresses, maxi skirts and stellar heels....it's just not quite there yet. Instead, I am opting for ensembles like this little number for the month of April, since it honestly doesn't know what it wants. Some days are absolutely perfect for light, chiffon dresses and other days you honestly contemplate grabbing a pair of mittens on your way out the door. I think this outfit is the perfect combination for Spring...not yet Summer.  So...the first thing on my 'to-do' list when I wake up is check the weather & have my wellies ready for some slush fun.

yoga & make-a-wish

This weekend was a tad quieter than last but definitely still great.
{Yin Yoga on Friday night with Lindsay Bear, followed by junk food & a movie}

On Saturday Lindsay and I went to the Volunteer Fair that one of our malls was hosting. We learned quite a bit and signed up to volunteer with a few Organizations. One being the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which serves for children with life-threatening medical conditions. I am SO excited to be a part of this & can't wait to be called for an event to make a difference in the little eyes and hearts of these beautiful children.
{A Wish Wand we received to give to a little girl}

Yesterday's Daily Devotional really spoke to me because it was very fitting with my drive to becoming more involved in volunteer work. Proverbs 31 speaks about being a "Wife of Noble Character." God is truly speaking to my heart, especially this past weekend, and He is teaching me more & more about how to be a wonderful Woman of God.

"She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy."
Proverbs 31:20

beach inspiration

holiday fashion

Traffic People Dress in Bud Pink - $155 CAD
This is a romantic and flirty dress with an asymmetrical neckline and has an ankle strap with three rosettes. It runs in two light, flowy layers which are perfect for tropical weather.

Alexander McQueen Plait detail high heel sandal - $1,140 CAD
These Cognac platform sandals from Alexander McQueen are stunning with their high heel, multiple thin straps and a plaited lattice panel to the front.

Fleet Ilya Pochette clutch - $1,085 CAD
This clutch has such a beautiful, unique colour to it and definitely gives the dress a punch of a little something extra. I think the two work so well together.

Coral Starfish Dome Ring - $100 CAD
18k gold cocktail ring with pave starfish detail. This ring makes any ensemble look more glamorous, especially this one. I die.

Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel - $67 CAD
This is one of my most favorite perfumes. It's floral with a hint of spice & perfect for Summer!

I can't help but have a beach vacation inspired post since I am leaving for Cancun in 38 days with my two best friends! I am seriously crossing off the days on my calendar. Seriously.

Have a fabulous weekend dolls xx

I am so obsessed with neutrals/soft tones right now, it's kind of amazing. In fact, I am so in love with these tones that I am re-painting my bedroom from a deep, country red (seen HERE) and changing it to a colour called, pale cashmere (seen HERE). It looks quite pink online but my paint sample is a bit lighter. It's a really elegant, clean, crisp colour & it will be a really nice change.
